• Khalvati, Mimi

    Mimi Khalvati was born in Tehran and grew up on the Isle of Wight. She started writing poetry while bringing up her children and her pamphlet Persian Miniatures (Smith/Doorstop 1990) was a winner of the Poetry Business competition. Her Carcanet collections include In White Ink, Mirrorwork, Entries on Light, The Meanest Flower and most recently The Weather Wheel. Mimi has been Poet in Residence at the Royal Mail and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
