Andrew Barton (Banjo) Paterson

Andrew Barton (Banjo) Paterson (1864 – 1941) was an Australian bush poet, well-known for his poetry about Australian life in the outback, two of his most popular poems being ‘Waltzing Matilda’ and ‘The Man from Snowy River’. He wrote under the pseudonym The Banjo. He also wrote novels and short stories and was a journalist and war correspondent.
