Moore, Thomas
Thomas Moore (1779-1852) was an Irish poet, musician and entertainer, and a popular figure of London society. He wrote many books of poetry, including his Irish Melodies (1807-1834), a ten-volume work of poems set to music. He was a friend and literary executor of Lord Byron.
