• Levy, Amy

    Amy Levy (1861-1889) was a British poet and novelist from Brighton. She was the first Jewish student at Newnham College, Cambridge and part of a literary group circle of friends with Socialist leanings. She suffered major episodes of depression from an early age and committed suicide in her late 20s.
