    Day-Lewis, Cecil

    Cecil Day-Lewis (1904 – 1972) was a distinguished Irish poet and former Poet Laureate who was part of the same Oxford literary circle as poets such as W. H. Auden. During the Second World War he worked for the Ministry of Information as a publications editor. He also wrote detective novels under the pseudonym Nicholas Blake.
